Actor Rajesh Dhruva recently embarked on the journey of learning to play the chenda melam, a traditional percussion instrument from Kerala. After 15 days of dedicated practice, Rajesh mastered the art of playing the chenda. Having made his debut in Kannada cinema with "Shri Balaji Photo Studio," Rajesh is now collaborating with director Sukesh Shetty on the upcoming film "Peter," centered around the chenda melam.

In order to deliver an authentic performance, Rajesh decided to learn the fundamentals of chenda playing, eventually gaining the necessary skills after two weeks of training. Additionally, he underwent weight loss training to ensure he resembled a chenda artist.

Speaking about the film, Rajesh emphasized the seamless integration of folk music into the narrative, aiming to offer a unique and captivating experience to the audience. He highlighted the competitive nature of the film industry, stressing the importance of engaging viewers and persuading them to choose their film.

Despite his achievements in movies, Rajesh expressed his intention to continue working in television to maintain a stable income. He mentioned that once he has firmly established himself in the film industry, he may consider focusing solely on one medium.
